Bridport — A head-on collision in Bridport left four people dead and two people injured on Monday afternoon.
Police and ambulance crews responded to the fatal two-vehicle accident on Route 22A and North Cream Hill Road at approximately 12:41 p.m.
According to the report, a 2001 Volkswagen Beetle, traveling northbound on 22A, crossed over the center line and crashed head-on with a southbound 2000 Ford F-350.
Police say all four occupants of the Volkswagen Beetle were not wearing seatbelts and found dead at the scene.
Police identified the driver as Steven Holmes, 20, of Chatsworth, Georgia, and passengers Amber Brewer, 19, of Dalton, Georgia, and Justin Hendrix, 38, of Bryceville, Florida.
According to authorities, the identity of the fourth victim, a woman, was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The Ford driver, identified as 51-year old Lisa Nunez from Leesburg, Florida, and passenger, identified as 27-year-old Thomas Sykes, from Wilmer, Alabama, were both transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
