Lincoln man facing numerous charges after early morning crash

HUNTINGTON — Police say a Lincoln man driving under the influence lost control of his car and crashed it before fleeing the scene.

On Friday, at approximately 12:00 a.m., Vermont Police, Richmond Police, Huntington Fire Dept. and Richmond Rescue responded to the scene of a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Main Road and Trapp Road in Huntington.
 
Emergency responders found that the driver of the vehicle had fled the scene upon arrival and he was determined to have done so on foot.

The vehicle went off Main Road and collided with several trees and a small pond on the lawn of a residence. 
 
The operator was located approximately two hours later on Trapp Road. 

He was identified as Alexander Goulette, 26.

Goulette was issued a citation to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court to answer to charges of DUI, negligent operation and leaving the scene of an accident.
