Beef stew argument leads to assault arrest in Panton

PANTON — A family fight over beef stew resulted in the arrest of an intoxicated man for domestic assault in Panton on Monday.

Police responded to a family disturbance at a Panton residence at approximately 3:20 p.m.

According to the report, the suspect, and a woman had an argument regarding beef stew which, allegedly, led to the suspect pushing the woman, causing the victim neck pain.

Police identified the suspect as Richard Marszalkowski from Panton.

Authorities say Marszalkowski appeared to be severely intoxicated and submitted a breathalyzer reading of 0.227 percent.

Marszalkowski was arrested and charged with domestic assault, according to police.
